- Teaming allows teachers to create common policies to help students/parents understand the expectations and requirements of each class?
- During weekly team collaboration meetings, teachers talk about curriculum connections. This means integrating what our students learn about writing in English, for example, in Social Studies or using the graphing skills they learn in Math in their Science class.
- Collaborative planning is beneficial for teachers and students. It allows teachers the opportunity to share ideas and resources, but more importantly, it shows students connections in their learning. What they are learning in ELA, for example, might help them write a great conclusion for their Science lab report! Teaming increases engagement, rigor, and relevance.
