National Junior Honor Society to Induct 100 DPMS Students Nov. 16
The National Junior Honor Society committee received an extraordinary number of applicants, allowing Draper Park Middle School to welcome 100 students its inaugural year.
Students accepted into this program must maintain a GPA of 3.5 or higher, demonstrate strong leadership, scholarship, and citizenship skills, as well as, have great character and be service oriented.
All members accepted will be honored at an induction ceremony on Nov. 16.
The National Junior Honor Society, organized in 1929, is the nation's premier organization established to recognize outstanding middle level students. Today, it is estimated that more than one million students participate in official Honor Society activities. NJHS chapters are found in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, many U.S. territories, and Canada. The NJHS encourages students to become actively involved in school activities and community service.
