September 2018
I wanted to send a shout out to all of the fabulous volunteers that we have at our school! These past few weeks we spent hours in training, helped with the sixth-grade boot camp, provided a bagel breakfast for the teachers returning to school, gave out information on various programs at Back-to-School Night, and helped with Picture Day.
So many people have put in countless hours wrapping up last year’s finances, putting together our budget, working on our membership, and getting various programs up and running. We are excited to welcome our new student representatives who will be helping us with some of our programs throughout the year.
This year our motto is “Courage to Be Kind.” We have seen so many acts of kindness from our students. They are so polite to open the doors for us when we are lugging things into the school. We hope that this motto helps them focus on being kind towards one another.
Although we have lots of volunteers, we could always use more help for our different programs. Please let us know if you would be interested in helping more at Draper Park Middle School.
You can see more opportunities to volunteer in this newsletter, as well as on our PTSA website here.
Our next PTSA meeting is Sept. 14 at 9:30 a.m. in the conference room next to the principal’s office.
Thank you.
